"The HItchiker's Guide to the Galaxy" a book by Douglas Adams, has the words "Don't Panic" inscribed in large friendly letters on its cover.   Well some time before "The HItchiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is actually published, in a later edition (revisions being sent backward in time appear to have an earlier publishing date and to avoid confusing the reader, this lack of respect for the space/time continuum will be maintained), a correction to the BIG BANG 2 theory will be introduced which demonstrated that indeed space is curved, in fact so curved as to resemble a highly polished 8-Ball. As you may have recalled from the "Restaurant at the End of the Universe," the BIG BANG theory also indicated that if there was enough matter in the universe, eventually gravity would counter the force of inertia and cause matter to again return to its origin, resulting in a collapse to the end of the universe.

Well in fact it will be eventually be discovered in the future, that the universe does indeed contain sufficient matter to prevent infinite expansion.   The matter exists in the form of a black hole 3, and so much matter is contained in the black hole, as to prevent any expansion at all.   So to an observer outside of the universe, it would appear that all mater is actually flowing outward over the surface of the black hole much like a ripple on the surface of a bubble floating in air, but due to the immense gravational force of the black hole, no light is able to escape the surface, thus preventing any such hypothetical observance (as if outside the universe realy existed anyway).   Fortunately for members of the universe the speed of expansion of the known universe over the surface of the black hole exactly matches the acceleration due to the gravitational force of the black hole and thereby keeps us from being squashed out of existence in precisely the manner bugs are.

This fact has largely gone unnoticed for as any astrophysist will explain, light bent over the surface of the black hole by gravity, will give an observer on the surface (within the universe) the indication that all objects are moving outward and away, when looking in the direction of where one has been, but to an observer looking into the future (Looking into the future is both impossible and impractical, since If one could look into the future; one either would not retain the knowledge of having looked into the future; or having knowledge of the future, one would not bother to look there) it would appear that all objects are actually moving toward each other, which is the reason for the words "OK, PANIC!".

1 |  copyrights are meaningless; since this document exists, it is made up of the byproducts of the original BIG BANG (see 2 below) and must therefore be dated 0000, along with all other byproducts of the BIG BANG, which makes copyright infringements meaningless (much like this document).   NOTE: a copy will eventually be returned to the origin of time so as to prevent any subsequent bickering about copyrighted material and due credit which truly belongs to the Universe anyway, will not be given.

2 |  BIG BANG not worthy of mention here since it is only a theory, but is included to indicate; it was once theorized that the Universe was created in a single event from which all matter streams outward, much like the skin of a balloon being inflated.

3 |  Steve Hawken was or is that will be (see 1 above) right.
